Two great new posts from Christine Kane

Truth be told, I could probably link to Christine's blog every damn time she posts because the whole thing is just one right on thing after the other. But these last two spoke a specific shazam into my being and so I share in case you need a specific kind of shazam, too.
  • Letting Go of the Cycle of Depletion
I'm at a stage right now where I cognitively know I am afraid of "disappearing" when I accomplish my goals. By disappearing I really mean shaking the very foundation of everything I've built my life on. Those things you complain about? Sometimes those things are really cozy. They prop you up and remind you of Who You Are. What will you be if you don't have them anymore?
  • You Don't Have to Know How
Imagine if your GPS responded with all doubts and boo hoos when you entered your destination.

Thanks for the link to the Depletion Cycle post, Marya. The timing was perfect as I was just sitting here feeling sad about how many things I want to learn, and how little time/money I have to pursue *any* of them in the short term... but of course as Jennifer points out, I'll never pursue any of them if I don't *make* the time or set aside the money... I'll just be depressed about them.

The Depletion Cycle post instantly made me think of this poem, which I have always loved:

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us..."
