o.c. for alvin ailey

friday i had the day off which meant i got to leisurely read the l.a. times. with a cup of coffee. sublime. inside was an article on alvin ailey. his company often performs at royce hall at ucla, but i've never seen them. l.a. is a tougher place for me to get to as i don't know anyone there and don't have a place to stay and am not really that familiar with the area.

but this time they are performing in orange county. where as la might be tougher, it couldn't get easier than orange county. so i called my dad -- yes, he and janet would love to go too! great. next step -- tickets. sold out. of course. but nevertheless, dad said he'd take care of the tickets if i drove down.

so, the next day and four hours later (vrooming down the 101 and 405) i was in orange county. land of shopping and tidyness. and today, alvin ailey. dad scored the sweet tickets, too. more later, but meanwhile, check the alvin ailey web site.
