"Personally I found Norah Jones kinda formulaic. Nice to hear for a change but insubstantial on closer inspection. She's no Rickie Lee Jones. Perhaps it's not jazz but so what? The Police weren't real reggae but they were still a great band. Remember the story I told dw about Duke Ellington in the club? Duke was in the front row watching a band of young guys who were blowing away to impress him. Backstage later they asked what he thought. He said, "Boy, you guys sure play a lotta notes." I don't think it's a coincidence jazz is a 4 letter word. Like wank."
