EARTHQUAKE! 11:16 AM, part I
rumble rumble

earthquake!! things fell from my shelves and bookcases. it seemed to last a long time (longer than a minute sounds like about 30 seconds? felt like much longer.). nothing broken at my home, but my heart is still beating pretty hard. i wonder where the epicenter was? i don't think we were near it... but maybe? i'm going to check out the news! san simeon epicenter!

later: news isn't on. heard that all communications down (how come i still have a connection?). fires. buildings down. slo not hit that hard (we are about 40 miles from epicenter) -- well -- who knows now? will wait to here more. my friends: it was a big one!
